NEWVILLE, 48, the daughter of Mary Chonko,of Jackson passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Jackson Sanford Hospital in Jackson.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Jackson with Father James Seitz officiating.  Burial will be in the Good Shepherd Cemetery in Jackson immediately following the service.

Visitation will be on Monday – one hour prior to the service at the Church.

 

ANDREA KRISTINE NEWVILLE was born on June 26, 1968 in Austin, Minnesota, the daughter of Donald and Mary (Chonko) Newville.  She attended St. Raphael’s Catholic school in Crystal, Minnesota and later graduated from Totino-Grace High School in Fridley, Minnesota in 1986.  She then attended the University of Minnesota before moving to Indianapolis, Indiana, where she worked in the patient access department at the Indiana University Healthcare system.  In 2014, she moved to Jackson.  She passed away at the Sanford Jackson Medical Center on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the age of 48 years, 10 months and 22 days.

Andrea was baptized into the Catholic faith.  While growing up, she loved spending time with her father when he went fishing.  She was involved in music and drama in high school.  As an adult, she traveled to many US cities and London, England to enjoy music concerts, ballet and opera. She enjoyed doing crafts and reading, both from books and her laptop.  When she moved back to Jackson, she started doing genealogy on the Newville family.  She enjoyed  going to Lorie Line concerts with her mother.  Andrea was always a champion for the underdog.  She was always there to help those in need.

Andrea is survived by her mother, Mary Chonko of Jackson and many aunts and uncles and cousins.

Andrea was preceded in death by her father, Donald Newville and an infant brother, Michael.
